UV lasers in Raman spectroscopy

The recent EU ban on the use of cadmium (Cd) has led to the emergence of solid state laser alternatives for UV Raman spectroscopy. In this application note we demonstrate how new DPSS lasers can serve as an attractive Cadmium-free alternative to HeCd gas lasers in demanding ultra-low frequency Raman spectroscopy analysis of ferroelectric thin films.
