Newly upgraded: the Linac Coherent Light Source II X-ray free-electron laser.
The newly upgraded Linac Coherent Light Source (LCLS) X-ray free-electron laser (XFEL) at the Department of Energy’s SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory successfully produced its first X-rays.
