Photon Lines Ltd announces the appointment of Life Sciences Specialist Dr Martyn Reynolds as Managing Director of UK and Ireland operations.
Martyn joins the company from Cairn Research Ltd where he was previously responsible for the delivery of advanced imaging systems for microscopy. Over the last 20 years he has built a career in the design and delivery of fluorescence measurement instrumentation for biomedical and life science research applications. Initially training in Physics before completing his PhD in Physiology, Martyn spent several years working as a postdoctoral scientist in medical research before moving into fluorescence instrument development. Over time this evolved to the configuration of complex high speed microscopy imaging systems and provision of associated technical backup.
A fellow advocate of providing strong customer support to deliver advanced imaging capabilities for scientific research and beyond, Photon Lines is looking forward to strengthening our UK team with his expertise.
Martyn said “I am delighted to be taking up the reins of Photon Lines Ltd and look forward to building on the company’s successes to date in both the Physical and Life Sciences. This is an exciting time for Photon Lines, with pioneering instrumentation core to the product line-up. Growing the team to effectively deliver and support these technologies to UK and Irish labs is a challenge I will relish.”
David Gibson, previous Managing Director of Photon Lines stated “I have known Martyn for over a decade and have been impressed by the work he and his colleagues at Cairn Research have been doing. David added “I will remain active in the company to support Martyn for an initial period, having taken on the role of Chief Operating Officer.
