AIM Photonics welcomes Nathan Lin as Director of Outreach

Albany, New York -- AIM Photonics is pleased to announce the appointment of Nathan Lin as its Director of Outreach. In his new capacity, Lin will play a pivotal role in delivering AIM Photonics’ innovative solutions to companies and academic/research organizations throughout the U.S.

His primary responsibility will be to help guide them in the development of their integrated photonics prototypes using AIM Photonics’ comprehensive electronic-photonic design, multi-project wafer and test, assembly, and packaging services.

Before joining AIM Photonics, Lin held the position of Optical Design Manager at Enablence Technologies and served as a Staff Optical Engineer at Marvell Technology, focusing on silicon photonics design and testing for next-generation coherent transceivers.

Wade Cook, AIM Photonics' Executive Director, expressed enthusiasm about Lin's appointment, saying, “Nathan’s combined technical expertise and passion for building lasting customer relationships align perfectly with our goal of making AIM Photonics’ services accessible to companies of all sizes. His involvement will undoubtedly contribute to the continued growth of our outreach into the wider U.S. integrated photonics community.”

Lin earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Johns Hopkins University. His academic and professional achievements also extend to authoring multiple conference and journal papers on the use of biophotonic imaging technologies.

“We look forward to the contributions Nathan will make in advancing our mission and further solidifying our position as a leader in integrated photonics,” Cook added.
