13 Dec 2023 LAYERTEC delivers large optics with edge lengths of up to 2000 mm. For over ten years, optics of various geometries with diameters of up to 600 mm have been manufactured for scientific research and astronomical applications.
Depending on the requirements, the coating is done through magnetron sputtering or Ion Assisted Deposition (IAD). These processes have been used by LAYERTEC for many years for small components and have been adapted for large optics. IAD is used for optics in the meter class. The components are characterized by high damage thresholds and are suitable for use at high average powers.
In the past year, the production capacities for large optics have been further expanded. They are now also manufactured in series. |
